"What a great day this turned out to be; proper Belgian malts, fermented with Belgian Ardennes yeast from Mogwai Labs and aged for six months in Bourbon Barrels. It’s thick, oozy, moorish and complex and will leave you wondering if we’re trying to shoot you in the head.
That classic Belgo ester profile is present but has softened in the barrel, perfectly marrying the rich complexity of toasted malts, with the underlying bourbon barrel character. All the flavours you’d expect; raisins, rich cherries, dried apricots, caramel and chocolate but more rounded and complete with the added coconut and vanilla from the barrels." -Working Title
"What a delicate but flavour packed beer. The Belgian esters and deep toast character gives us notes of Banana Bread, backed up by a light (but very welcome) bourbon character.
