Pétillant Naturel
Roughly translating to 'naturally sparkling' Pet Nat is the oldest example of sparkling winemaking and has become a popular style once again! Made using the 'ancestral method' (bottled while undergoing first fermentation, trapping naturally occurring carbon dioxide to produce the fizz), Pet Nats can be made with a variety of grapes and vary wildly. Sediment from fermentation is also often found inside the bottle.
