Woodlands - Brook Vineyard Chardonnay 2022 750ml

"Woodlands Brook Chardonnay is made from our close planted Chardonnay plot on Woodlands Brook.

This wine has an intense bright gold hue. The aroma brims with white flowers, grilled peach, nectarine and apricot. Some toasty barrel ferment notes add complexity.

The palate is lively and floral, featuring ripe peaches and stone fruits, grilled chestnut, and toasty oak. There’s a lovely finesse here making this wine enjoyable now, while it will still benefit from cellaring.

Woodlands Brook Vineyard
The vineyard faces north west on free-draining Wilyabrup soils. The rows are a mere 2 metres from each other, providing a vine density roughly double that of the Woodlands vineyard. The soils are Wilyabrup Class 1 – with a clay loam top soil, a bed of gravel and then a bed of white clay. The existing vineyard is on a very gentle west facing slope, surrounded by south facing pastoral land." - Woodlands
