Wildflower - Good As Gold #22 750ml

"Good as Gold is a 50/50 blend of barrel aged Gold and fresh Gold that has just completed primary fermentation. Both the young and aged components are wholly fermented by a diversity of yeasts and bacteria collected from native flowers from NSW. Bright citrus and limey Motueka hop notes on the nose balance with structure and length from aged, oakier barrels.

We brew with regenerative organic grains at our old-world brewery in Marrickville where the beer undergoes a warm primary fermentation with our house culture from NSW flowers. We taste and select the most mature barrels from our cellar which would benefit from the youth and aroma of a younger fermentation, blend the two in equal parts, bottle this blend and allow the beer to naturally condition and carbonate for an additional 3 months minimum before release.

Meesh's tasting notes - The nose presents with an abundance of hop character from the young beer...it leads with the meyer lemon citrusy notes we expect from Motueka, but behind it there is some more ripe stonefruit character, and an almost musk stick perfume note. It's delightfully fresh and quick on the palate, this time leading with stonefruit and finishing with a citrus peel-esque bitterness. This beer is so linear, in the best way, and I always feel as if it's inviting me back for more." - Wildflower
