Range x Basqueland - 'La Concha Crush' DDH DIPA
"La Concha Crush is our brand new collab with our spanish amigos from Basqueland Brewing, located in the beautiful San Sebastian, Spain. San Seb sits right on the northern coast of Spain and La Concha is one of the main beaches right in the heart of town. We wanted to make an ultimately crushable, but punchy DDH DIPA with them, to celebrate some of the more wild nights we've had in San Sebastian in years gone by. Our malt base is built up from the base with extra pale malt before being hammered with wheat and oats to provide a big thick mouthfeel for the hops to surf across. On the hop side of things, we've lent heavily into the Citra, with Strata and Superdellic layered through for extra pop. From the get go we get explosive ripe mango, passionfruit and candied orange leading the charge from the Citra, backed by juicy red berries and strawberry gummy from Strata. Superdelic layers in a modern twist of fruit salad, guava and a subtle floral-lime lift. The mouthfeel is plush and full-bodied, yet this beer remains undeniably a La Concha Crusher.
