"Late Nights 1 is the sixth release of our Barrel-Aged Stout program and this year we've taken inspiration from late night diner treats. Late Nights 1 is a rich and decadent Imperial Pastry Stout, aged in Buffalo Trace and Cape Byron Distilling whisky barrels, served straight up- no adjuncts. In the glass this one’s pouring a delightful rich, chocolate sponge head, and an imposing black pour. On the nose the barrel is starting to show, with hints of whisky, a little vanilla from the oak and some dark cocoa. On the palate it’s all about big dark chocolate, black forest gateau notes, with plenty of oak vanilla notes from the time spent in barrel. The mouthfeel is soft and silky, finishing with a restrained balance of sweet and roasty, making it dare we say, moreish." - Range
