We're kicking off our Winery of the Month series with a local, family focused wine operation called 'Muto'. What started as a making small batches of wine in their garage to now having a farm & a winery to call their own, Muto is a story of the whole fam bringing various skills to the operation. While Tallarook, Vic is their HQ, Muto source grapes from all over Victoria & South Australia, allowing them to produce a range of impressive and diverse releases.

Sparkling and refreshing, it opens savoury with acacia, honeysuckle and a subtle toastiness, before bright yuzu and crisp Granny Smith apple kick in. A creamy mousse carries sage and grilled peach through the mid-palate. With no added sugar (zero dosage), it’s bone-dry yet balanced, finishing long, saline and moreish – built for antipasti, prosciutto and everything in between.

Dense & Savoury, with a black fruit profile of bramble, mulberry & cassis with violet, fragrant cubeb pepper & herbaceous fennel. Full bodied with supple tannins of complex cedar oak, but supported by excellent acidity.

Muto - Close Contact 750ml
While Field Blend | 12.0% | Riverland, SA | Vegan & Organic
Textured and zippy, this skin-contact blend hums with juicy tangerine, tinned apricot, pineapple juice and a lift of bergamot tea. A beeswax-like mouthfeel from the skins adds richness, balanced by bright acidity that keeps every sip refreshing.
