Mountain Culture x Kicks - 'Preux Chevalier' West Coast IPA
"It was an honour to finally have our mates from Kicks Brewing out at Emu Plains for a collaboration brew day. We kicked things off over charcoal chicken, chips and a couple of West Coast IPAs. Over this classic culinary pairing the serious brewing decisions were made and Cam looked to convince Pat about the virtues of obscure French beer names.
For the beer, we leaned hard into everything we’re both loving about modern West Coast’s right now. A snappy water profile keeps things sharp while Citra and NZ Rhapzody in the whirlpool bring bright pink grapefruit. A hop dip of Citra Dynaboost builds saturation before a dry hop of Chinook, Strata and more Citra layers in depth and intensity.
It pours crystal clear with a firm bitterness and punchy hop expression. Grapefruit leads, followed by peach and citrus, dank pine and subtle cannabis resin for a clean but lingering finish." - Mountain Culture
