Sigurd - Joan Sparkling 2021 750ml

"Well a long time in the waiting in my winemaking life, but something that we have wanted to produce! Alongside the single varietals of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, we are thrilled to produce a sparkling from 2021.

Picked during the cool and wet 2021 vintage, this ex-Croser sparkling block in Piccadilly Valley produces legendary fruit. The vineyard is managed organically which delivers precision and depth in the wines. Granny Smith apple, pear skin and light nuttiness deliver a stylish and long wine. 24 months on lees, before disgorging, a touch of 2020 Joan Chardonnay added for extra depth and complexity. The touch of phenolics on the palate drives the length of the wine which will age and build as time goes on.

We are very proud of this first release of the sparkling and hope you will enjoy it too.
