"The third vintage of this wine. Plenty of aromatics jumping out of the glass, with some nice typicality. Breezy purple fruit, wine gum, aniseed ring lolly, grilled blood orange, crushed tar and a bit of meatiness simmering well below. Thereās some vibrant purple berried fruit on the palate and plenty of acidity which defies the alcohol in this and the density. Bit of a balsamic, slightly medicinal Ā lift on nose that works. Ribena and compote on the palate, with a slight menthol. Fruit cough syrupy tone, but thereās a compelling abundance and rustic crushed gravelly tannic grip that is rather pleasing. It's a big wine that wears itās size well thanks to high vibe acidity, though that alcohol shows some heat on the back palate.
