"Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXIV 2011 is a limited edition rum that showcases the mastery of Barbados' most renowned distillery. This expression spent 12 years maturing in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Madeira casks, resulting in a complex flavor profile that balances sweet tropical fruits with rich oak and spice notes. Interestingly, despite Foursquare's reputation for producing some of the world's finest rums, the distillery's founder, Richard Seale, doesn't believe in the concept of "master blenders." He argues that rum-making is a team effort and prefers to credit the entire production staff for the quality of their spirits.

Nose: Rich aromas of caramelized brown sugar and ripe tropical fruits. Hints of vanilla and oak mingle with subtle spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. A touch of dried apricot and leather adds complexity.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth. Flavors of baked apple and pear blend with toffee and dark chocolate. Notes of toasted almonds and coconut emerge, balanced by a gentle oakiness. A slight peppery warmth builds, reminiscent of ginger and allspice.
