"The 2018er Erdener Prälat Réserve Alte Reben, as it is referred to on the front label (the reference to GG is left for the back label and GGR is engraved on the bottle), was made from very old un-grafted vines and was fermented in oak with ambient yeasts and aged on its gross lees for 24 months before being bottled. This offers a stunning nose of yellow peach, brown sugar, fine spices, a hint of bergamot, and subtle oak elements, which are already well integrated. The wine proves beautifully silky and playful on the gorgeously spicy and fruity palate and leaves a long feel of herbs and spices in the long finish. This is a stunning dry Riesling in the making!
