Diviners - Apparition Gin 700ml
Launched in 2020 by retired neurosurgeon Frank Tomlinson, the inspiration for Diviners was found in a clean gin produced out of a London bar. Back home, Frank, an avid gin appreciatorm teamed up with Robert Richter & Glen Roberts, the owners of the Granite Belt’s Bent Road Winery, along with assistant winemaker, Andrew Scott. Together they sought out to see if he could produce a gin of similar grace. Their method of success? Cold distillation, an approach to distilling that does not apply the same high temperatures as traditional distillation techniques, not resulting in great clarity and nuance of botanical character.
Coming #6 (out of 600 nominees) in the recent Covent Garden Hottest 100 Australian Gins 2022, Apparition is Diviners’ ode to the old world. Earthy, with an ethereal pine character that’s brightened by orange citrus and lemon rind. The palate brings warming spice and a macadamia fattiness. The experience is graceful, and the characters are intricate, simply an enchanting gin.
The label is designed by Seattle artist, Olivia Knapp, who has created unique, surrealist characters included in a visual experience that reflects how layered the gin is..
