Charles Van Canneyt is the young winemaker who has helmed a new era of grace and high repute for Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat since he took over from his grandfather in 2008 at just 20 years old! Keen to express himself outside of his family’s Domaine, Charles started his own micro negociant in 2012. While these wines don’t get much air time due their small volume (only x2 barrels of each 1er and Grand Cru), what is said about them is pure praise. Both labels are approached The foundation for the Domaine’s stellar wines starts with high-quality grapes from carefully cared-for old vines grown in regarded appellations, which are then vinified with indigenous yeasts and pump overs for low extraction. Paired with the 2019 vintage that primed the wine for ripe tannins, low bitterness and fresh fruit these wines are absolute stand outs that will only get better!
