"Funky Monkey is an Australian Wild Ale aged in our ex-Ramjet barrels. We were wondering what flavours and characteristics would be imparted in our wild ale by fermenting barrels that housed our big imperial stout, Ramjet.
The result? Plenty of wild funk, but also notes of roast malt make their way onto the palate and aroma. A worthwhile experiment if ever there was. Why Funky Monkey? The founder’s son wanted to name a beer, so the result is Funky Monkey." - Boatrocker
