"Our Peated Cask Strength Single Malt is the boldest and most awarded whisky in our range — a true heavyweight of Australian whisky. Crafted from malted barley, it reflects a distinctly Highland-style peat: earthy, rounded, and smoky, with minimal medicinal or iodine notes.
The grain is milled, brewed, and distilled at our Melbourne distillery, then matured for up to eight years in American Oak ex-bourbon barrels. Each barrel is bottled individually to capture its unique character — no blending, no compromise.
We’ve chosen a moderate peating level to strike a perfect balance, allowing the sweet, rich malt flavours to shine through the smoke. All the hallmark aromas and flavours of our Peated Single Malt are here, intensified and undiluted. Enjoy it neat for the full experience, or add a few drops of water to open up its depth and complexity.
NOSE: A rich subdued peat aroma combined with a natural leathery earthiness with overtones of kumquat and fruit mince tart. Sweet but not sickly.
PALATE: The palate reveals a tobacco leaf earthiness with layer upon layer of complex smoky peat that lingers on the lips and palette demanding just one more sip.
