While blending Vintage 2019 last year, we revisited all of previous blends and Blend #1 always had, and still has, this slight sense of air, fluff, and delicacy which had gracefully aged and developed. Even with the careful selection of our best barrels over the years, Blend #1 always held its own special place when enjoyed at the same time as the others during a vertical tasting. Being that the grass is always greener, and since these subtleties hadn't been explored in a blend since the first, I wanted to take the steps to save Oude du Blé barrels which could be explored in early 2022 for this Vintage 2020 version of Tête de Cuvée.
