The vineyards are located in the municipality of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the northern area of Chianti Classico, about 15 km south of Florence. The vineyards, all in the hills, are located at an altitude of 220-300 meters above sea level and are exposed mainly to the south. The soils are characterized by an important skeleton and a structure with white river pebbles alternating with brown clays. The form of farming used is the low spurred cordon, so as to derive maximum benefit from the heat of the earth. Le Corti, the estate’s “vintage” Chianti Classico, is produced with Sangiovese grapes and in a small part Colorino.
