Skillogalee - Basket Press Shiraz 2022 750ml

"Our Basket Press Shiraz is crafted from grapes carefully harvested from low-yielding, dry-grown vines planted on the slopes and contours of the Skillogalee estate in the wooded hills of the Clare Valley. Our cool climate vineyards were planted in the 1970s and many of the vines are now over 50 years old, yielding less fruit but producing a more flavourful and structurally complex wine.

The wine has a deep and intense ruby red colour, enriched by complex and layered nose with notes of dark fruit (blackberry, black cherry), spices (pepper, cloves), and a hint of earthiness. This Shiraz shows dark berry fruit flavours of plum skin and fennel seed spice with a plush and silky mid palate core and long finely structured tannin." - Skillogalee
