"Distilled at Glen Elgin distillery in 2008 and aged for more than 13 years in a single hogshead, which yielded a total of 260 bottles. Selected especially for the Australian market by Alba Whisky. 
 
Glen Elgin Distillery is situated 10 miles south of where the river Lossie exits to the sea and about 40 miles east of Inverness. Founded at the end of the whisky boom in 1898, it was built and designed by the notable distillery architect Charles Doig of Elgin. The distillery draws the water used in its production from the springs of the beautiful Millbuies Loch, located to the southeast of the distillery.   

Nose: Pear drops, waxy apple skins, parafin candles, cinnamon sticks and creme brulee coalesce in a portrait of apple strudel dusted with icing sugar

Taste: Creamy and tropical, notes of juicy pineapple and strawberry combine with freshly baked apple pie and rich vanilla

Finish: Juicy, creamy and light - medium length" - Alba Whisky (Importer)
