"The Grower Shiraz tells the story of an unusually cool and late-growing season, marked by the slow onset of spring and a refreshingly good rainfall that occurred during the growing season. This is one of the latest vintages I have seen, with harvesting extending from March 21st in Hallets Valley to April 21st in Stone Well. Sourced from seven dedicated growers across nine distinct Shiraz blocks, this wine carries the nuances of each unique site, delivering an exceptional depth of character.
This vintage highlights the meticulous care in our winemaking process, with only a subtle 2% whole bunch inclusion to balance the profile, and maturation exclusively in French oak. Twenty percent of the Shiraz was aged in a large 2350-liter vat, which allows for a more gradual integration of oak, adding elegance and complexity. The resulting wine has a well-rounded structure, with a refined texture and layers of rich, vibrant flavours that reflect the beauty of a slow, cool season." -Jason (Schwarz)
