"Servus!.. To celebrate Oktoberfest we’ve brought back the legendary Germanic figure, Brunhilde! Fearless Valkyrie and proud daughter of Odin.
The process of brewing this refreshing, burnished gold “Double Decocted Festbier” is steeped in history, and presents both a challenge and an opportunity for our highly skilled brew team. This second iteration has been subtly enhanced with some light tweaks to the recipe and process, by vigorously boiling a portion of the wort we’ve deepend the malt flavour while ensuring it remains crisp and eminently drinkable. We felt no oak was needed this year.
Upon cracking, brace yourself for the scent of fresh baked pretzels, then dive into layers of malt and bread that give way to light caramel in the mid palate, noble hops provide a soft bitterness with a hint of pine and citrus to finish.
