Punt Road declared 2015 as their ‘finest sparkling yet’. Made up of 86% majority Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Noir, this wine different to previous vintages that used less Chardonnay and a mild summer that led to a later harvest. Released after 3 years on lees the wine has nice brioche and nutty character, slight salt and minerality, and a good hit of umami alongside the bright crispness we’ve come to expect from Aussie sparkling.
