Khutsaidze - Kisi Qvevri 2020 750ml
"The wine is made from 100% Kisi grape variety. The grapes are grown in Tsinadali village, Kakheti. The wine was made with traditional Georgian method in Qvervi, with the skins for six months. The wine is unfiltered and unfined and natural sediments may be deposited with age." - Khutsaidze Vineyards
"Nose: Wild flowers, apricot, cooked peach, dried apple, quince, toasted walnut and almond
Palate: full body, grippy tannins, round and layered, medium finish, shows complex bottle aging flavors (honey, nuts). This wins drinks perfectly now but still has aging potential, though not as much as the first though.
Kisi is also native grape to Kakheti region. With its characteristics it sits in between Rkatristeli and Mtsvane, it is thick skin variety (hence grippier tannins than the first wine) and can make structured, complex wines. At the same time offers great flavour/aroma intensity." - Georgian Wine Importers
