"Made from grapes grown in our 13-year old vineyard. The grapes were harvested by hand on March 9th 2017 then fermented in open vats, hand-plunged then pressed. Malolactic fermentation and maturation in barrel then fined with egg white prior to bottling. The wine was matured for 18 months in oak barrels, 60% of which was new French oak. Alc. 14.4%, cellaring well for up to 8 years.
With its seductive deep, crimson colour and notes of toasted fennel seeds, choc mint and dark fruits, this wine is complex and enticing. Rich and savoury with lingering fruit flavours and chalky tannins make this one a pleasure to drink." -Jones
