"The Hugo family vineyards were first established in the foothills above McLaren Vale in 1951. This estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced predominately from an outstanding block planted by John and Liz Hugo in 1991.
The Hugo vineyard is situated 180 metres above sea level, one of the highest in the region. Conditions here are markedly cooler with gully breezes coming from the Mount Lofty Ranges, and as a result ideal for premium grape production with longer ripening periods and hence the production of fine, balanced elegant wines." -Hugo
