"The 2018 Ürziger Würzgarten Unterst Pichter GG Réserve Alte Reben opens clear, deep, pure and fresh on the precise, saline and concentrated nose that intermingles mango aromas with delicate mineral and herbal notes. Vivacious, round and generous on the palate, this is a dense and structured, very persistent and complex Riesling with crystalline, elegant acidity, delicate fruit and an intense, long and complex, firmly structured finish. It’s still a little edgy or austere in its mineral expression, with sweet caramel flavors on the finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. "The 2018er Ürziger Würzgarten Unterst Pichter Réserve Alte Reben, as it is referred to on the front label (the reference to GG is left for the back label and GGR is engraved on the bottle), was made from parcels of very old ungrafted vines in the prime Pichter sector and was fermented in oak with ambient yeasts and aged on its gross lees for 24 months before being bottled. This wine offers a beautiful nose made of cassis, white flowers, earthy spices,
smoke, and a hint of creaminess. It is beautifully elegant and intense on the palate, where the fruity side is beautifully wrapped into herbs and spices.
