"Davide has few hectares of Garganega and Merlot on the volcanic soils of Gambellara. His grandfather planted the vines with his father and after selling the grapes to the local coop, Davide decided in 2006 to start making wine. The farming is organic and the winemaking is hands off with very clean and precise wines as a result. L1 - Named after the L1 vertebra that he broke in a motorbike accident in his youth, is a garganega refermented in bottle and not disgorged; a delicious saline and easy going sparkling wine." - Giorgio De Maria
