Bress - Bressecco NV 750ml
"Dry, aromatic and flavoursome, punctuated with gentle effervescence.
Our Bressecco NV was treated in this manner. The inspiration for this wine comes from drinking good Italian sparkling with an emphasis on structure, upfront flavour and a dry, savoury finish which promotes having another sip - a sign of an outstanding and moreish wine. To do this from a winemaking context, we have created a blend from seven different and exceptional grape varieties. The fruit was generally whole bunch pressed with the free-run juice fermented in stainless steel tanks and the pressings fermented in old oak hogsheads. Fermentation was slow and was initiated by indigenous yeast strains. Post-fermentation the various cuvees were blend-ed to achieve a cepáge of approximately 44% Marsanne, 14% Arneis, 10% Viognier, 10% Roussanne, 8% Savagnin, 8% Gewurztraminer and 6% Chardonnay. Carbonation during bottling has enabled the creamy and gently effervescent finish to this celebratory wine." - Bress
