Bracket - 6th Birthday Mixed 5 Pack
Bracket Brewing are celebrating their 6th birthday with 5 massive brews, including 3 collabs with breweries around Aus. Get your hands on all of them in one juicy little pack!
Bracket x Shapeshifter - Wait, What?
8.8% | DDH Double IPA | Marrickville, NSW x Findon SA
When we got on the blower with Carla to cook up the recipe for this beer, it was meant to be a 6.5% go-to hazy to balance out the release. Roll in some kid induced sleep deprivation and the highly attenuative Mango Madness strain and you get yourself a massive DDH DIPA, Wait, what? 😅
This collab pushed us out of our comfort zone in terms of both ingredients and techniques, which is exactly what we love about working with Shapeshifter.
We went for huge mid-ferment additions of Azacca and Citra to get heaps of biotransformation then Krush, Peacharine and a sprinkle of Riwaka CRYO to round out the hop line-up.
This beer is THICC, maybe the thickest we’ve made? Oozing with ripe tropical and stonefruit character, it's another cracking collab in our birthday release. As always, the best beers are made on the fly.
Bracket x Range - Animal Noises
8.6% | DDH Double IPA | Marrickville, NSW x Newstead, QLD
This banger was brewed in collaboration with our mates at Range. Over the years we’ve brewed a number of beers with them, but always up in Brisbane. This time we managed to get Matt down here in Sydney and on the tools.
The hopping of this beer was determined on the day with our noses in bags of hops, picking out exactly what we thought would work best together. A huge low temp whirlpool charge of Nectaron CRYO was where we started to build from, layering in our selected lots of Cashmere and Motueka for the first dry hop, then Mosaic and more Motueka in the second.
This beer blends what we love about the way Range layers in hop character with a base that feels very much like OG Bracket.
Bracket x Kicks - Rubber Arm
6.8% | DDH West Coast IPA | Marrickville, NSW
This collab is with our mates at Kicks and, if you remember Arrangement from last December, you ll know exactly where this is headed: straight back to the West Coast.
We share a love of crisp, clear West Coast IPAs with the Kicks crew and, as it happens, we also share a few hop contracts. It seemed only fitting to fill this Westy to the brim with our favourite lots from those contracts. That meant cracking lots of Citra and Mosaic from our Hollingbery selection, plus a just-landed lot of Southern Cross from Freestyle, all going in as a double dry hop.
Rubber Arm is bright in every sense of the word: crystal clear in the glass and bright on the palate. Expect complex citrus up front, a wave of dank cannabis and a hint of berry, all carried on a firm, clean bitterness and a dry finish. It s the kind of beer where "just one more" happens without much of an argument, hence the name.
Bracket - To Catch a Train You Need To Think Like a Train
9.9% | DDH Triple IPA | Marrickville, NSW
It wouldn't be a Bracket Birthday Release without a massive Triple IPA, so this is it!
We were not set on specific hops for this one, but Strata & Nelson have become a bit of a brewery favourite hop combo on the recent and it made sense to build the birthday TIPA around them. The result is big juicy pineapple up front followed by a touch of passionfruit and sweet tropical fruit with a hint of dankness and enough IBU's to balance the huge base beer.
For those wondering about the name, it's a motto we think everyone should live by, so get on board. Choo choo!
Bracket - For The Plot
6.8% | Maibock | Marrickville, NSW
We haven’t brewed this style since 2023 and, you guessed it, it's one of Mike’s favourites (one iteration was aptly named Mike’s Bock). Given it’s not May, but it feels like spring is definitely on the way together with our 6th birthday, Mike decided it was time to take a plunge.
For The Plot is exactly what you’d expect, a bright golden amber colour paired with a lush mouthfeel. The malt character shines through just the right amount, in this case a fair bit, followed by subtle floral notes.
If you haven’t tried a Maibock before this is definitely the time. If you had one before, well, you know you’re in for a treat. Either way, it’s a great way to ease into our birthday release.
