Trappist & Abbey Ales
Since the Middle Ages, monks have been brewing beer at Abbeys in Belgium. Nowadays these types of beers are classified between Trappist and Abbey. Trappist are those who are still being brewed by either by the monks themselves or under their supervision at an Abbey. All others are considered Abbey (or Abbey-style) beers!
