Barrel Aged Stouts
You can put beer to age in a barrel – doesn’t mean it’s going to be good! Stouts though do particularly well spending some time in oak. The type of barrel, what was in the barrel previously, the time spend in the barrel and even just the weather all affects the final flavours imparted. If done well, the resulting beer is greater than the sum of its parts.
