A unique mix of beer to see you through the final month of winter! For this month we are going BIG with the IPAs, with a duo of Double Hazy and Double West Coast, the perfect hoppy warmer for a cold August day! Plus, we stay in malty territory with a trio of White Stout, ESB & Pastry Stout!
What's in the box:
Banks • ESB
Extra Special Bitter | 5.2% | Seaford, VIC
About • Ello Guvna! Banks has brewed a new take on the neo-classic British style. Malty, hoppy and quaffable. Perfect for afternoon tea.
Taste • Like entering a bakery. Notes of Bread, Crust & ANZAC biscuit with a nice earthiness to it. Fruity, resembling dried fruit like sultanas, and yet still quite refreshing.
Rocky Ridge • Down The Rabbit Hole
Coffee White Stout | 5.5% | Jindong, WA
About • Rocky Ridge are masters at using a variety of adjuncts in beer and this coffee stout is no exception, this time the dark malts take a step back for a golden sweet treat.
Taste • Blend 43 with creamer. Moreish, with flavour resembling Coffee Cake, and a nice creaminess in the palate. A lot of different flavours but they’re all really well balanced.
Wolf of the Willows • Rocky Road S'Mores Man
Barrel Aged Pastry Stout | 6.0% | Mordialloc, VIC
About • It’s the return of the S’mores Man! This time the Marshmallow man puts on a red beret and hits us right in the memories with the sweet flavours of Rocky Road.
Taste • Like walking into a Lolly Shop. Sweet aromas of pastry and candy. Black Forest Chocolates and Arnotts Royals. Such a delicious concoction of flavours and aromas. *chef’s kiss*
Bright • First Frost
Dark Cherry Sour | 4.0% | Bright, VIC
About • Inspired in the very cold temperatures of the Alpine region and the start of the deep winter season, this dark sour keeps the fruity refreshment and adds a layer of cosiness.
Taste • Big notes of Cherry Cola on the nose with a light biscuity background. Very light on the palate, with a spritzy carbonation. Refreshing and easy drinking.
Blackman's • Angry Reg
Double West Coast IPA | 8.8% | Torquay, VIC
About • One of the oldest remaining Double IPAs of Victoria’s brewing scene from the 2010s. The bigger, angrier version of their classic Reginald IPA, comes but once a year as an annual birthday release!
Taste • Notes of OJ and Blood Orange Peel. The backbone is heavy on the malt, with notes of Caramel and Breadcrust. Piney and slightly resinous on palate with medium bitterness and a syrupy mouthfeel.
Ocean Reach • Luna Fringe
Hazy Double IPA | 7.5% | Phillip Island, VIC
About • Ocean Reach are turning 10 this year and their beers keep getting better and better – like this release; a Double Hazy featuring ‘Luna’, Australia’s newest hop variety.
Taste • Massive Tutti Frutti vibes, with notes of Passionfruit, Pineapple & Honeydew, while a bit of Orange comes along in flavour. Medium-low bitterness with a short finish.
