The Bruery's Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, known as Black Tuesday, has truly earned cult status amongst dark beer drinkers and sits as one of the most revered barrel aged beers on the planet. Clocking in at 19%, and spending over a year in fresh bourbon barrels, it remarkably still generates the same amount of hype when it was first released way back in 2009. Get ready to immerse yourself in the darkness!

Saturday (29 October) sees this insane tap takeover kick off, with Insanity Pass (see more below) holders getting exclusive early access to the Black Tuesday taps, before we bust open the bar at 2pm as Pure Insanity really ramps with unrestricted access to all taps!

This BONKERS event will be nothing short of huge and, as you can see by the taplist above, we are doing a mighty tap takeover of this insanely rich beer! Black Tuesday: The Black Dinner

The second, and even more exclusive ticketed event as part of “Pure Insanity” is Black Tuesday: The Black Dinner hosted at out sister wine bar Zaubertrank (2 doors up from Carwyn).

Chef Michael Pyke will be in his creative and experimental element! Expect an exotic 5 course meal, with all dishes having a black thematic element (think char, sesame, garlic etc). Each course will be matched with a Black Tuesday beer by Certified Cicerone® Tito Orellana, who will be present on the night to guide us though into the complexity of malts and flavours, and explain how these dishes have been paired.

The dress code is Black Tie, and while not compulsory, is highly encouraged.

Tickets for this intimate dinner are $150 (+BF)!
