"This is the selection of the best sangiovese grapes all over the estate. Harvest is done by hand; the grapes are destemmed and put in open, frustum cone-shaped stainless steel vats, with a temperature control system; after 24 hours at 20°C the grapes are inoculated with selected indigenous yeasts; total day of fermentation process for Sangiovese is 18 days and for Merlot 16 days at a max temperature of 28° C.

An exceptional parcel of almost 10 hectares organic vineyard of Sangiovese in the Corsini family estate, on the hills of San Casciano in the heart of Chianti Classico. This is where the Gran Selezione Don Tommaso was born, in an extraordinary vintage like 2015. A purple wine with ruby nuances, with a complexity that reveals grace and passionate character. Pepper notes season the charming fragrances of violet, with the black and red berries, blueberry, blackcurrant and cassis shaded by licorice, caramel and cocoa. Intensity and elegance of the wine show in a round body rich in fruit, with well defined spicy tannins, and a finish on the balsamic notes of myrtle with a nice minerality. " - Villa Le Corti
