Over 3 years ago we teamed up with long time Carwyn friend and member of the Melbourne craft beer scene Alister Robbie to put one of his tried and tested wild brown ale recipes into two old red wine barrels and forget about. Turns out that sometimes, being forgetful, pays off! The base beer is a kettle soured brown ale followed by a 100% Brett fermentation. After its stint in barrels the beer was fruited and bottled by Black Arts Beer. The base beer brings a Chinotto/ cola flavour that, with the added cherries and raspberries, becomes a riff on a cherry cola.
