"Traditional artisanal mezcal that forms an important part of ceremonies and festivities known as 'Jolgorios' in teh villages of Oaxaca, Mexico. El Jolgorio is made exclusively from different species of agaves, artisanally distilled by the maestro mezcaleros in the Zapotec villages. Maguey Tapeztate is known in the Zapotec language as Dob Cual. Its broad twisted leaves allow it to retain more water than other agaves and its sugars are less concentrated.
