Crabtree - RC Riesling 2023 750ml

"Our RC Riesling is only made in the years when we believe we can produce a truly exceptional wine with the capacity to age gracefully and which will demonstrate the pristine line and length of our outstanding Riesling. This limited edition wine of only 155 dozen in total, was sourced from our Cellar Door block on the Estate and made with only the purest free run juice.

The grapes were hand-picked early in the morning whilst still cool, to ensure an absolute purity of fruit flavour and acid intensity. The whole bunches were pressed and cooled before fermentation was commenced, which was then kept slow and cool to extract the maximum flavour profile.

This wine has an expectionally delicate acid profile, that tingles on the palate with the stong Watervale notes of lime and lemon.

We have named this wine RC Riesling, paying homage to two important men bearing those initials in their name. Firstly, Robert Crabtree, founder of Crabtree Wines and Richard Cane, my father and mentor.
