This is probably the most exciting shipment we’ve ever gotten here at Carwyn Cellars, and we’re not even sure if this is ever going to happen again in all honesty. So YES, we are making a big deal out of it, because these beers deserve it.
Side Project is a small-batch 100% barrel-aged brewery started by Cory King, former head brewer at Perennial Artisan Ales, and his wife Karen King in St. Louis Missouri. This brewery focuses on producing only barrel-aged beers with an emphasis on Saisons, Wild Ales, and spirit barrel-aged beers. Passion and experimentation drive the creation of these rustic to aggressive ales.
Barrel and open fermentation pay tribute to the old-world production methods of most of their styles and ingredients are sourced as locally as possible from Missouri and Illinois farmers. Always unfiltered, unpasteurized and bottle-conditioned. The quality and finesse of their craft have gained them international acclaim, holding now 4 of the top 10 spots for the highest rating beers in the world on Untappd, and their tap room has become a beer mecca in the USA.
Thanks to the unstoppable legends at Forward Hops, we received a large amount of Side Project kegs and other rare bottles which are EXCLUSIVE to Carwyn Cellars.
To do this God-tier brewery justice, we have decided to showcase them over TWO events early next year! First up is the Official Australian Launch on Saturday 21st of January. This event will see us tap up an insane TWENTY different kegs of Side Project as well as bottle pours of extremely rare stouts.
