"English-style Barleywine aged in bourbon barrels with Comoros & Vanuatu vanilla beans, finished with Mostra coffee..
This beer debuted at Week of Logic 2024 under the alias “Between Subtle Shading and the Absence of Light,” from the first deciphered section of James Sanborn’s “Kryptos” sculpture at the CIA Headquarters. With its mix of Morse code, ancient ciphers, and cryptographs, the final message of Sanborn’s sculpture remains elusive. Like the art piece, this liquid invites you to explore its depths like a multi-layered puzzle.
We’ve aged this English-style Barleywine in a selection of Heaven Hill bourbon casks with a combination of vanilla beans from Vanuatu and Comoros, then finished it with Mostra Coffee’s famed ‘Philippines Heritage’ coffee beans for coffee-derived layers of vanilla, baking spice, roasted nuts, and caramel." - Bottle Logic Brewing
