Sasanokawa Shuzo Co., Ltd. was founded in 1765 and acquired a license to produce whisky (Director-General of the Tax Bureau at that time was Mr. Hayato Ikeda) in 1946. Since then we have been producing it as the sole "local whisky distiller" in Tohoku area. This pure malt whisky is using 100% unblended malt whisky. The product was finished pure malt whisky of superior quality and milk in character with a strict selection of our unblended whisky.
