Macaw Creek Organic Shiraz 2014
South Australia's early settlers named Macaw Creek, located in the Gilbert Valley amongst the famous wine regions of the Mount Lofty Ranges, for the colourful native parrots they mistakenly thought to be Macaws. The region enjoys mainly terra rossa over limestone with some black loam over clay soils. Ideal for superior grape production, the fruit is generally dry grown from the low yield vines in these rich, well drained soils.
