CoConspirators x Carwyn Cellars 'The Berserker' Aquavit B.A Imperial Stout
Back in September 2017, Coconspirators and Carwyn Cellars got together and brewed up a mighty imperial stout, destined for a barrel with a rich history.
The barrel was coopered in 1930 and began its life in the Bodegas of Spain, quietly spending decades ageing PX brandy. It was later obtained by Linie and sent out on the world's seas to mature their ocean-aged Aquavit, visiting more than 35 countries in its travels. 3 passes over the equator later, the barrel came to temporarily cage the beast that would be soon called "The Berserker', imparting its rich (and tasty) history on a stout named after a [particularly] ferocious sort of Viking warrior. At 12.5% ABV and aged in a Norwegian spirit barrel, the name becomes fairly self explanatory.
Check out the April 7th event page on The Facebookery for more details about the launch (hint: there will be stout. And other beer, so much beer).
