A Southerly aspect and large diurnal range in temperatures sees full flavoured wines balance with crunchy acid driven tension. Similar to Pinot Noir, Gamay shows vineyard specific characters in the resulting wines and here Gamay has found a very happy home. Hand picked fruit is fermented both in the traditional carbonic method and classic Pinot Noir style whole bunch with native yeast, then matured for 10 months in seasoned large format French oak. Producing wines of deep colour and electric fruit energy. Rose petal, violets, mulberry, blood plum and an array of cooking spices are just a small snapshot of the wines profile.
